Real-Time Budget Management
Maintaining a working budget is a critical task for any organization, but First Nations are especially vulnerable to the potential pitfalls of budget management. Revenues from federal, provincial, and other funding agencies must be carefully tracked against existing and future operating and capital expenses. Without easy-to-understand, real-time budget management software, your organization runs the risk of overlooking vital details that could seriously damage the organization and put the services you provide your community in jeopardy.
Fully integrated with the Xyntax® General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable ledgers, the Xyntax® Budget Management (XyntaxBDGT™) module allows you to replace spreadsheets as your primary budgeting tool by offering a budget preparation and tracking tool that provides real-time access to budget information. With XyntaxBDGT you’re now able to manage your entire budget lifecycle quickly and easily.
Using XyntaxBDGT, administrators can view budget to actuals, track the status of multiple budgets simultaneously, and make adjustments to posted budgets within Xyntax. Additionally, administrators can create different what-if versions of their budget until they select one to submit for approval and/or posting by council.

Integrated Budgeting Included
Budgeting is integral to the financial function of any First Nation, and, unlike some of our competitors, included in every Xyntax system. The Xyntax® Budget Management module is a centralized budget management system, where multiple, user-definable budget levels can be defined. Budget footnotes are maintained by the Xyntax system and easily entered.
GL Accounts Budgeting and Budget Approval
Create an unlimited number of budget scenarios to maintain optimistic, pessimistic, and expected budgets. Establish access rights so managers can provide input into the budget process without viewing information from other departments. Once approved, budgets can be used for comparative analysis in financial statements and analysis reports as well as for monitoring expenditures.
